Putting up the Christmas Tree

This is our Christmas tree all lit up. But there were a lot of steps before we got it like this!

Two weekends ago we put up out Christmas tree.

First we put down the tree holder:

Then we put the tree in and hung the light up:
Next we laid all of our ornaments out:
And some had to be glue:
I put up decorations that Jack and I made on the doorway. In the background you can see our Christmas tree all light up:
Then we put a manger scene on a table right next to our Christmas Tree:

Snowy Snowy in the Fall

I took these pictures from my bedroom window. This is a picture of my roof. It snowed 2 days ago. IN THE FALL!?!?

It is very funny though because the trees in New England haven't changed colors yet! Can you see the tree branch in the picture?

Oh well, it looks like I won't be getting any good foliage pictures.

I will take pictures from Halloween tonight!

Street Painting Festival 2011

YAY!! Finally after waiting days I can upload pictures! Thanks for fixing the problem, Blogger!!

Ok so here are the pictures for the Street Painting Festival that I have been doing for 5 years!

This is how I started out:

An empty 4'-4' square just waiting to get chalky.

By the way, do you like my shoes? They are so awesomely creative! Its white converse with black triangles.

Then I started to draw----well, you'll find out by the end of this post. Can you guess what is is? To help you out, the picture was supposed to be taken from where I was sitting.
Now, I think you can guess what it is!

And, here is how the 4'-4' ended. As a notebook filled with doodles from a girl bored in class.

Street Painting Festival 2011-No Pictures

I can not upload the pictures of the Street Painting Festival right now because Blogger is having some minor issues right now. I will post when the issue is fixed!

Fall

I've decided to get rid of the whole 7 dresses idea. To tell you the truth, it was a bad idea.

Its fall again so that means that there will be a lot of foliage pictures.

If you look back to 2010, there are not many fall pictures! I'll put some more on this year though!

In a few days check the blog out again because I will post the pictures for the Street Painting Festival from this year. Look back at September 2010 and you can see those pictures from last year.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is check back every few days to check for new fall posts!

Hurricane Irene Damage

First of all, the title for this post, Hurricane Irene Damage, is a really bad name for this post because there was really no damage where we lived at all. I just couldn't come up with a better title! :)

The hurricane only made twigs and leaves come down. Maybe a few trees in our town. Here is our backyard after with tried to clear most of it out:

Here is down the street. what you might think is a tree that has fallen down is really just branches from that person's yard.
Here is the other side of the street:
Our power was out from Sunday August 28th at 8:30am to Wednesday August 31st at 12:45am. It wasn't that bad (other than my bother and I freaking out the whole time because we had no Internet or cable!!). Our house was lit with candles and flashlights at night.
Sunday night my brother and my Dad played Scat (a card game). The picture has light because of my camera's flash.
Hopefully this next hurricane, Katia, won't hit us like the weather station is predicting!

Hurricane Irene

For the first time in a long time, a hurricane is expected to hit Rhode Island. Hurricane Irene. That means lots of things could happen, like the power going out. If the power goes out I probably won't be on my blog for a while.

Hopefully the power doesn't go out!! :)
