Rainy Day Craft: Yarn Bowl

Today it is raining outside so I got out the Roise O'Donnell craft book Crafty U out and saw a cool rainy day craft:

What you need:

  • Balloon
  • Smalls Bowls
  • Newspaper
  • Yarn
  • Scissors
  • White Glue
  • Straight Pin
  1. Blow up the balloon and place it in the bowl so it will not move while you are working.
  2. Put newspaper down.
  3. Cut stripes of yarn and soak them in a bowl.
  4. take one stripe out one at a time and squeeze the excess glue back into the bowl.
  5. Drape the yarn over the balloon one at a time laering them over each other. Leave a few inches above the bowl bare
  6. Let dry over night, or until dry.
  7. When dry, pop the balloon with the straight pin andremove carefully.
